Donald Lee Glass, Sr., age 82, of Keymar died Feb. 12. Born Nov 19, 1931 in Emmitsburg, he was the last and youngest son of the late Ellis R. and Florence (Thompson) Glass. He was predeceased by his wife, A. Louise (Wetzel) Glass.
He had a soft big heart and enjoyed helping others, taking care of family and friends, was an organ donor, and was a blood donor until no longer able. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army 86th Division. He was a member of the American Legion, Hesson Snider Post 120 Taneytown. He retired from Hahn Transportation and also
worked part time for Merring Transportation after retiring. He started life as a farmer and in retirement his favorite past time was still gardening and growing things. He also liked spending time at local auctions and hob-knobbing with other old timers.
Surviving are his long-time companion Esther "Becky" King of Keymar; son, Donald L. Glass, Jr. of Keymar; daughters, Kim L. Glass Johnson of Blue Ridge Summit, Brenda L. Glass of Westminster, and Susan L. Glass of Keymar.
